This 104-page hardcover book is a biography about Gary Payton, an all-star point guard who plays for the NBA´s Los Angeles Lakers. The national-selling book (for Enslow Publishing out of New York) is target-marketed for "young readers" at about the junior high to high school levels. The book recounts the future Hall of Famer's journey from his boyhood in Oakland, to Oregon State University, and finally to L.A., where he remains one of the game's preeminent players. The "Glove" as he is known in NBA circles, is famous for both his killer cross-over dribble as well as for his world-class trash-talking. This guy is a trip!
